Aquatic therapy reduces the pressure on the spine and joints due to buoyancy. At best, pressure can be reduced to zero; but this does not produce negative pressure or traction/decompression of the spine.

The SpinoFlex is practically maintenance-free. There are no user-serviceable parts. The visible portions of the drive screws, which are easily accessible may require occasional application of a lubricant when they become dry.
